Covid-19 has Changed Education

We are currently facing a pandemic, a health crisis in our country. COVID-19 pandemic has led to a dramatic loss of human life worldwide and presents an unprecedented challenge to public health, food systems and the world of work. Millions of people are at risk falling into extreme poverty. But that’s not all, the pandemic also affected educational systems worldwide, leading to the near-total closures of schools, early childhood education and care services, universities and colleges. Most governments decided to temporarily close educational institutions in an attempt to reduce the spread of COVID-19. As adapting to our new environment, because we are unsure when will this end, they started to implement a new studying technique, blended learning, which now we call it the New Normal In Education. I’m a student and  I can confidently tell that the old education system is far more effective and easier for the students because of the satisfaction of guidance from the teachers. Not all people can adjust to our new normal because everybody is different, but I think everyone is still trying their best, which is a signal that we need to help each other. We are all struggling and participating properly to our classes means a lot especially to the teachers, I know that we can’t understand each other sometimes, the main reason why we also need to give some feedbacks or thoughts to our teachers for them to know what they need to improve so that nobody will get left out. After more than a year since this pandemic started, the vaccines arrived in our country and some of the Filipinos are already vaccinated that’s why Dep-ed decided that if we wanted to have a face to face classes again, it should be required that you need to be vaccinated first for your own safety because the pandemic in our country is not yet over. Other than that, I think the education during this pandemic had a lot of disadvantages like minimal social interaction, distance learning offers little interaction between students and teachers, little support, accessibility to some students may be a problem, requires self-motivation which is hard for most of the students because we are tired of these piles of unending homeworks. This new normal drained and gave us some emotional and mental issues which is hard but we are trying our best to blend in because we have no choice, but hopefully we can get through this pandemic together and have a proper education.

Adapting to Transform

The country I love and adore, the Philippines. Our country is beautiful, the views we have are breathtaking, very unique cultures and traditions, exquisite pinoy cuisines and ridiculously  good people. But, from the past few years, we unfortunately  picked the wrong people, whom we thought are going to be good leaders that will lead our country properly but sadly, they are now  the main reason of this ongoing corruption that’s damaging and slowly destroying our lovely country.  Corrupted and irresponsible leaders shoud be taken down because a bad government affects the whole country. Before we found out that we chose the wrong leaders, we adapted in their ways. We tried to follow and blend in, some of the people acted ignorant  until social medias, twitter in particular, became famous because of these rants about government being manipulative to people and how corrupt these so called leaders are, they were exposed. People started to pay more attention to our government and realized how stupid and non-sensical they are. The government gave poor decisions, the reason why people regretted choosing them to run our country. Because of adapting to these corrupted leaders before, the people envisioned  that we need better leaders to lead our country. Leaders that can provide citizens with sustainably-managed resources,  have reliable infastracture and the ability to combat natural and man-made threats. It’s October 2021  and elections coming up, I hope us, Filipinos will vote wisely and can pick the right leaders this time. We realized that we chose the wrong leaders after we adapted to them and felt like we needed to change or transform this situation, the reason we thought about choosing the right future leaders next time  to avoid this kind of problem again.

Communicating to our so called ‘Leader’

https://www.hrw.org/news/2017/03/09/killing-and-lies-philippine-president-dutertes-war-drugs-exposed

Rodrigo Roa Duterte, the 16th and current president of the Philippines and the first from Mindanao to hold the office. Born in March 28,1945 and raised in Maasin, Leyte. He studied political science at the Lyceum of the Philippines University, graduating in 1968, before obtaining a law degree from San Beda College of Law in 1972. And he’s the son of the late Mr. Vicente Duterte and Mrs. Soledad Duterte. And will be making a letter to state how i feel about our current president in our country.

I, myself heard a lot about you  in social medias and here are some of my thoughts. The International Criminal Court’s pre-trial chamber says killing of suspected drug personalities has been frequently encouraged by you. You are not bringing peace or justice in our country! Killing people because of a crime that can still be solve in a more decent and fair punishment is unforgivable. We all know some of your projects benefits a lot of people and the reason why you still have some supporters, but when talking about how you handle crimes is a different story. Controlling crimes in our country by executing them is not the only solution! This War on Drugs project of yours is inhuman. A murderer can’t lead a country! If people are supporting a president with  a very few successful projects and execute criminals without giving them a chance to have a fair punishment is just plain stupid and it means that they’re siding with a murderer. A killer mindset . I hope you will experience a character development and act like  a human, beg forgiveness  and have a fair and deserved punishment to all the crimes you’ve done.

We can’t have someone leading our country with a killer mindset. Someone who thinks it’s okay to handle crimes by killing them and expect the people to have peace and justice. President Rodrigo Duterte is not actling llike a president but a murderer. Hoping for him to change and act like an actual human who have feelings and intelligence.

The Growth of a Perfectly Imperfect Person

THE GROWTH OF A PERFECTLY IMPERFECT PERSON

I’m Laila Angela F. Criste. I was born in February 16,2006. I’m currently studying at Ilocos Sur National High School as a grade 10 student. I was born and raised at Pong-ol, Vigan City. My parents are Mr. Albert Criste and Mrs. Analiza Criste,  and this is how I describe myself...

Back when I was a child, I was very confident to do the things I love. I only thought about myself  and it made me happy not giving a care to anyone. I was unproblematic and unstoppable when joining activities and contests, and fortunately, I won some awards and made my parents proud. As I grew older, I got matured and realized a lot of things, I started to worry what other people think of me, the main reason why I got insecure. Now, we are currently experiencing a global pandemic and the reason why we can’t have face to face classes. So during home quarantine, I had a moment of self reflection and thought about my toxic traits and toxic people in my life. I noticed that the source of my insecurities aren’t from self hatred but because of the people around me with negative energies. I thought about changing my perspective in  life and don’t give a care to anyone on what they think about me just like when I was younger. And because of that, now, I’m grateful that I’m mentally stable and enjoying my life with my family and trusted friends.

I’ve gone through a lot of things and I know I will be facing more challenges in the future. I am so happy that I used the home quarantine as an opportunity to change my perspectives in life and learn to be contented and enjoy the little things. Everybody is unique, there’s no need to feel insecure about yourself. Choose the right people. And lastly, set  some goals and make sure to reach them whatever it takes.

Let us nurture nature to have a nurturing future!
